Background screening for personal decisions

When I started Confadate it was just for daters. As a retired law enforcement officer, I have seen to many victims that did not have to be a victim if they "Had only known." In today's computer crazed world a dater can meet the love of their life or a career criminal..or worse a sexual predator and have no way of knowing until it is too late. Recently I have had request from friends, family members and acquaintances to run background checks for someone they were thinking about hiring, or as I call it, make a personal hiring decision. I realize this is a new idea and I am wondering just how practical it is. If you were going to, say hire a housekeeper or a nanny would you want affordable and legal access to a background check?
